This page was created by a single user, tjproechel, and was active for a little more than two weeks. Its fictional nature was only discovered when no google search results were found for the Upper Peninsula War.This page is not so much funny, as truly brilliant.

Article Dušan Jocić was created in August 2005, as a fairly obvious thing made up in school one day. During the course of time, several wikipedians in good standing improved the article, so the end result looked far more plausible, while suspicion of hoax by an anonymous editor was quickly reverted as vandalism. It finally got deleted in July 2007.

The Porchesian Holocaust commemorates a page Porchesia which described a tropical island of largely "Lebanonese" population. A beautiful place, except for the minor detail that it never existed. The page was deleted and protected against re-creation after several months of being part of en.Wikipedia. Uncyclopedia's parody of it was featured.
